The 1st International Diabetes Summit -2017 was organized by Chellaram Diabetes Institute from 10th – 12th March 2017 at J.W.Marriot, Pune. The 3-day mega event consisted of a–Pre conference symposium on Day 1 while the main conference spanned Day 2 and Day 3.

The summit was a grand success with more than 1,500 attendees. The conference was inaugurated by Mr Lal L Chellaram, Chairman – Chellaram Foundation and Professor K Srinath Reddy – President Public Health Foundation of India. About 50 speakers from India and 12 international faculty from US and Europe and 110 chairpersons contributed to the success of this event. Both the auditoriums were jam packed with the participants who thronged the hall.

In addition, 35 young researchers presented free papers (Oral/Poster presentations) for which prizes were distributed. Industry sessions including breakfast symposiums and the 35 stalls too witnessed an excellent attendance. The Maharashtra Medical Council too awarded 7 Credit Points to the program.

The International Diabetes Summit was highly appreciated by the attending dignitaries, delegates from medical fraternity. The event was also widely covered in the print and online media.
