In association with the Public Health Foundation of India, the Chellaram Diabetes Institute is the National Academic Partner and a collaborator for Curriculum Development of ACMDC- an

Advanced Certificate Course in the Prevention and Management of Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease.The Course is accredited by the World Heart Federation.The Doctors, Nutritionists as well as Allied Staff and the Podiatry and Physiotherapy teams at the Chellaram Diabetes Institute have actively participated in developing the content of this course. It is estimated that over thousand doctors would be trained, and would benefit from the course.

The Chellaram Diabetes Institute is also among the Regional Centres for conducting the course. This course, spread over 6 months, comprises 6 modules, and each module would be covered in interactive sessions-held at several centres all across the country. To help practising doctors, who may not be able to spare time during their busy, schedule, the course will be conducted on a Saturday/ Sunday of every month.
