About Dr. A. G. Unnikrishnan
Dr AG Unnikrishnan is an Endocrinologist and CEO of Chellaram Diabetes Institute, Pune, a leading diabetes institute in India and an International Diabetes Federation-certified centre for education and excellence in diabetes care.
He heads clinical care, research, education and also oversees an outreach program at the Institute. He also heads the newly formed Chellaram Diabetes Research Center, which is in the field of innovations in diabetes-related diagnosis and management (www.chellaramresearch.org ) and the Institute’s e-learning academy (www.cdiacademy.org.in)
He has published the largest multicentre study of subjects with pancreatitis and pancreatic diabetes worldwide, in addition to his more than 240 Pubmed indexed publications.
He has received 24 awards and Orations in his academic career till date
Dr Unnikrishnan AG serves as Associate Editor of Journals like Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism (IJEM) & International Journal Diabetes in Developing Countries (IJDDC). He is the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Chronicle of Diabetes Research and Practice (www.cdrpj.org).
He has been principal investigator in several international multicenter trials.
