Dr. Savita Bhat is an Ophthalmologist in Pune with an experience of 21 years in this field. After completing MBBS from government college- Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore in 1994, she completed her MS from Christian Medical College, Vellore in 2000 and DOMS from the same Christian Medical College, Vellore in 1997. Work Experiences

She has published extensively in the field of Glaucoma, with several publications in leading journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Glaucoma (USA) and Retina.
She has won the best research paper awards at the national and state levels on five occasions, including the Best Neuro-ophthalmolgy Research Paper at the national level in January 2000, and the prestigious Siva Reddy Research Award at the state level in the year 2009.
During her 5 year tenure in CMC Vellore and 10 years stint at Giridhar Eye Institute, Dr Savita has been actively involved in medical and surgical care of glaucoma, retinal disease and cataract.
Dr Savita regularly takes part in Lectures, Instruction Courses and Workshops at both regional and national levels. Her paper on glaucoma was accepted in Asia Pacific Asssociation of Ophthalmology, Guangzhou in 2015.
She has also participated in several multinational clinical trials in glaucoma.
